Contract logistics gives wings to Quehenberger
Quehenberger Logistics augmented its business activities and tackled the digitalisation of all business processes last year. The Austrian company’s 2018 turnover – at EUR 464 million – was lower than foreseen, however a 3% organic growth rate was achieved despite the closure of some subsectors.
The warehouse space under Quehenberger’s management increased by around 58% from 260,000 to 410,000 sqm last year. CFO Rodolphe Schoettel said his company will overshoot the 500,000 sqm mark this year.
The air + ocean division once again boosted its sales by more than 30%, with North America and the Far East being the strongest markets. The fashion logistics segment fared well too, and it is expected to expand markedly this year. (mw)
