Container warehouse in the Jade Weser Port to be extended
In the cargo handling centre Jade Weser Port (GVZ), directly adjacent to the Wilhelmshaven container terminal, Rhenus Midgard intends to expand its existing container storage facility.
Construction work is scheduled to start at the beginning of April and to be completed by summer 2020, despite the challenges arising from the corona pandemic.
The warehouse was inaugurated only at the beginning of July 2017. Due to increasing demand for capacity, the storage space will be extended to cover about 4,000 sqm. Like the existing warehouse, the new areas will be designed for the storage of dangerous goods containers.
Besides freight forwarders and shipping companies, the provider also counts companies from the chemical and food industries among its customers. (mw)
