Container service Jinan-Vorsino introduced
Ruscon has launched a direct train container service on the Jinan (China) - Vorsino (Kaluga Region) route passing through Mongolia. The first train was loaded with 50 containers full of consumer goods. The transit time along the new route took 25 days. Initially, the new train will run once a month, with the frequency of despatches to be increased at a later date.
With the steady expansion of train services in China, the company is seeking to cover all the key transport hubs in this country, Ruskon said.
Recently, a container train was sent for the first time from the coastal town of Yantai via the Zabaikalsk station to Vorsino; before that, a train was despatched from Jiaozhou to Moscow. (ben)
