Consolidation in the US aviation services business
Menzies Aviation, part of Agility Global, is set to acquire US-based G2 for USD305 million, expanding its US presence and strengthening its position as one of the world’s largest aviation services provider.
The move will grow Menzies’ global footprint to 340 airports in 65 countries, supported by 65,000 employees. The acquisition is expected to increase group revenue by 20% to over USD3.1 billion.
G2, which operates at more than 100 US airports and specialises in passenger services and cargo handling, will be rebranded as Menzies. The deal, due to complete in June, enhances Menzies’ service offering and operational scale in the fragmented US market. (ah)
