Conforama on the move in Poland
French home furnishings retailer Conforama has found a new 51,000 sqm location for the distribution of its products from Eastern Europe.
The shipper has partnered with Geodis for both consolidation and distribution services to organise the delivery of its products manufactured and assembled at twenty sites in Poland, Romania, and Slovakia, before they are distributed to Conforama’s 167 retail outlets in France.
The operations that were carried out at the site in Wroclaw for the past eight years have been transferred to a new location in Pietrzykowice in the southwestern region of Lower Silesia. At the new facility, the warehousing space may be extended by a further 17,000 sqm. (sh)
