Component support for China Cargo Airlines
China Cargo Airlines has entrusted Lufthansa Technik with the component support for three B747-400F. The five-year "total component support" agreement is the first major collaboration between the two companies and the MRO's first contract of this kind with a direct service provision to a Chinese customer.
It offers operators component availability without the task of setting up and maintaining their own spare parts inventories. China Cargo Airlines will benefit from a pooling concept which guarantees reliable delivery at a pre-determined service level and resulting lower operating costs.
China Cargo Airlines VP Ji Shuhu: "We realise that we can obtain more professional and stronger support with Lufthansa Technik and are looking forward to the further cooperation with them in many fields." (ah)
