Completion of first Belgrade project
After only nine months of construction, Transfera has inaugurated its first logistics centre (TLC1) in the Novi Banovci industrial zone near Belgrade.
As part of an even larger project to create the company’s own logistics park (TLP), this first logistics centre covers a space of 30,000 sqm. The warehouse management system (WMS) deployed applies FM Global’s highest standards. Another priority is the use of renewable energy sources. Interestingly, most of the materials and equipment for the logistics centre were acquired from the company’s clients.
The entire 53,000 sqm of terminal space, on which the TLC1 is built, will be fully operated by the implementing software solutions – yard management system (YMS) and dock management system (DMS).
“We managed to complete the project in a very short time span. This project marks the completion of our goal to start a new chapter in our company’s business,” said Vladimir Radovic, manager of Transferas’ TLC1 project. In 2021, Transfera achieved revenues close to EUR 70 million with its 330 current employees. (cd)
