Cologne Bonn airport promotes Geslao
Andrea Tony Geslao will henceforth head the cargo sales department at Cologne Bonn airport (CGN). Geslao previously worked in various positions at Lufthansa, and has now been at CGN since April 2018, most recently as the head of the airline marketing department.
As the new head of cargo sales he will report directly to Tobias Lyssy, vice-president for sales and marketing, and will aim to drive forward the positive development of cargo traffic at the airport. Cargo proved to be an important stabiliser for the gateway in the Lower Rhine area of western Germany during the Covid-19 pandemic.
In 2021, CGN handled 986,000 t of cargo (+14% year-on-year), setting an all-time record an confirming the airport’s position as Germany’s third-largest hub for airfreight and mail after Frankfurt (FRA) and Leipzig Halle (LEJ). (ah)
