Collection of the Port of Trois-Rivières
The Canadian Port of Trois-Rivières has acquired the collection of canvas artworks "Hommage au Saint-Laurent", created by a collective group of artists composed of Gérard Boulanger, Yvon Lemieux, Raymond Quenneville, Robert Roy and Yvon St-Aubin.
“The collection Hommage au Saint-Laurent is a large-scale project that aims to showcase our precious St. Lawrence River, the very river that gave birth to the Port of Trois-Rivières. These high-quality works are part of our maritime heritage and bear witness to the riches of this majestic waterway,” said Gaétan Boivin, president and CEO of the Port of Trois-Rivières.
As part of the 17 Canadian Port Authorities and active since 1882, the port handles over 4 million t of traffic a year and accommodates about 250 vessels, 55,000 trucks and 11,000 railcars. (cd)
