CMSA in Manzanillo meets the mark
The container terminal Contecon Manzanillo (CMSA) on the Pacific coast of Mexico found a positive end to a difficult year 2020.
It passed the milestone 1 million teu, handling its one-millionth teu during the call of CMA CGM Jacques Joseph on 29 December.
With a 33% market share in Manzanillo, CMSA's 34-year concession period of the TEC-II, which started in 2010, covers more than 720,000 sqm of space out of which 70% has been developed and provides a total capacity of almost 1.7 million teu.
The Port of Manzanillo is Mexico's most important port and the third most important in Latin America. (cd)
