CMA CGM revamps India Middle East Gulf routes
CMA CGM is enhancing its shipping services between the India Middle East Gulf region and various African destinations, including South Africa, East Africa, and the Indian Ocean. The company has introduced changes to its Midas, Karibu, and Noura services to offer more efficient transit times and meet specific market demands such as the citrus season export.
Midas 1: This service, started on 5 May, now includes a stop at Coega. The new rotation is as follows: Jebel Ali - Mundra - Nhava Sheva - Pointe Noire - Tema - Apapa - Capetown - Coega - Jebel Ali
Midas 2: Durban becomes the sole South African port on this route, with weekly connections offered from Port Elizabeth via Durban, starting on 14 May. The rotation is as follows: Jebel Ali - Mundra - Nhava Sheva - Durban - Jebel Ali
Karibu: Replacing the HAX service, KARIBU will operate weekly starting 12 May. The rotation is as follows: Jebel Ali - Mombasa - Longoni - Pointe des Galets - Mombasa - Mogadishu - Jebel Ali
Noura: This service focuses on the Mozambique, Somalia, and Seychelles markets, starting 14 May. The rotation is as follows: Jebel Ali - Mogadishu - Mombasa - Beira - Nacala - Port Victoria - Jebel Ali
