CMA CGM Air Cargo’s first transpac freight service
With its third B777-200F, taken over on 18 August and operated by Atlas Air, CMA CGM Air Cargo has inaugurated a new transpacific route. This milestone represents a significant step in the company's global expansion strategy and aligns with the ambition of the CMA CGM Group to offer a comprehensive range of solutions to its clients.
The first commercial flight took place on 25 August, connecting Hong Kong to Chicago (ORD) with a technical stop in Anchorage. On the westbound leg, the aircraft operates from ORD to HKG, via Seoul.
A second B777-200F will arrive in Q4/2024, and will also be deployed on a transpacific route, connecting mainland China to North America. With the deployment of these two aircraft, CMA CGM Air Cargo customers will be able to choose from seven transpacific frequencies per week. (ah)
