CMA CGM Air Cargo to take off today
From today, 8 March 2021, CMA CGM Air Cargo operates a regular route between Liège (Belgium) and Chicago IL (USA). The carrier, whose parent company is a big player in the maritime shipping business, will rely on the expertise of Air Belgium to operate its aircraft.
Last month, CMA CGM welcomed its first A330-200F in its fleet. It will be joined on 16 March by a second freighter aircraft of this type that will also serve the US market. They will be based at Liege airport, one of Europe’s busiest freight hubs, located in the heart of a large population centre and benefitting from a number of intermodal transportation options.
ECS Group, a leading GSA, will be in charge of marketing its services, and a blocked space agreement on board its aircraft is granted to CMA CGM's subsidiary Ceva Logistics. (ah)
