Clearing the sky for alternative smoking products
Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) has endorsed the recent announcement by the Hong Kong government that it aims to facilitate the resumption of transhipping alternative smoking products (ASPs) from the Chinese Mainland via Hong Kong International Airport to overseas destinations, while fully supporting the government’s stance of prohibiting ASPs from entering into the local market.
With the securing and surveillance measures in place, AAHK will work with all concerned parties to comply with the new control and regulatory requirements stipulated by the government.
AAHK, which manages the world’s largest air cargo hub and a key international cargo gateway for the Chinese Mainland, says it is looking forward to the resumption of the intermodal transhipment of the ASPs to offer better cargo handling services in the Greater Bay Area. (ah)
