Claus-Oscar Herzig (right), former chairman of the Hessen Association of Road Haulage and Logistics, has received Germany’s federal order of merit first class.
District president Mark Weinmeister (left) of the Kassel administrative district presented the order at the castle of Fasanerie in Eichenzell, paying tribute to Herzig's high level of personal commitment: "You have made outstanding contributions to Germany’s transport industry in your honorary functions over more than four decades."
During his work as honorary vice-president of the Federal Association of Road Haulage, Logistics and Disposal (BGL) and as chairman of the Hessian regional association, Herzig was particularly committed to supporting medium-sized companies in the transport and logistics sector. (cj)
