CLA and coronavirus (don't) affect ABC
AirBridgeCargo Airlines, the scheduled carrier of Russia's Volga-Dnepr Group, is about to terminate lease agreements for five out of its 21 B747Fs. Talks are being held with Gecas and Sberbank Leasing.
In other news, the carrier which calls itself "a strategic partner to CargoLogicAir" (CLA) declares that, "due to the overall cargo market situation", it "will not be affected by CLA's flight suspension". There had been many rumours about the operational and financial future of the British carrier recently.
On 27 February 2020, a spokesperson for the UK Civil Aviation Authority said: "We can confirm that CargoLogicAir, which operates from London Stansted airport, has had its operating licence and air operator certificate suspended for a period of three months from today, at the request of the company."
