CJ Logistics surges ahead
Seoul (South Korea)-based CJ Logistics has reported its results for Q1/2022. While revenues went up by 6.1% to KRW 2.85 trillion (USD 2.2 billion), operating profit soared by 57.2% to KRW 75.7 billion (USD 570 million, which was mainly driven by the boom in the parcel and e-commerce business (fulfilment and new last-mile delivery).
The company stated that oversea sales had increased due to the recovery of the global economy. In terms of regions, the group's affiliate in USA saw the highest growth of revenues, at KRW 311.8 billion (USD 240 million), followed by India (KRW 171 billion/USD 130 million) and Vietnam (KRW 63.4 billion/USD 49 million).
