CJ Logistics continues cold chain

Developed by a joint venture of Yukon Real Estate Partners and BGO, a new cold storage facility is set to open in New Century, Kansas. The site features more than 27,000 sqm of rail-served warehousing space, of which over 9,000 sqm of the cold chain warehouse are still available. The rest will be used by Upfield for its production of plant-based food products, providing direct delivery from its production plant into the warehouse.

Located close to an interstate highway and the nearby BNSF Railway intermodal facility, the site enables access to the greater region. A rail spur runs directly into the warehouse, enabling both domestic and cross-border shipments. Completion and opening are planned for Q3/2025.

This venture adds onto CJ Logistics’ recent cold chain hub in Georgia as seen here: ITJ Daily 2 February 2024. (mk)
