CII elects board members
The Containerization & Intermodal Institute (CII) has appointed Nick Fafoutis, Giancarlo Morgera and Ken O’Brien to its board of directors. Their expertise in ocean shipping, liner services and logistics will strengthen CII’s mission.
Fafoutis, an executive vice-president at APL, has over 34 years of experience in shipping, including leadership roles at CMA CGM. Morgera, an executive vice-president at MSC USA, has been with MSC since 1986, driving expansion on the USA’s West Coast. O’Brien, the CEO of the Gemini Shippers Association, has held senior positions at APL and Hapag-Lloyd.
“With Nick and Giancarlo bringing carrier expertise and Ken representing shippers, we welcome leaders who strengthen our industry connections,” said CII president Chris Brooks (pictured). Founded in 1960, CII promotes intermodalism and industry education, awarding over USD 1 million in scholarships since 1992. (ah)
