Chongqing launches regular train to Germany
The first train with a full timetable and loaded with 55 containers of goods is now en route from China to Europe. It left Tuanjiecun Station in Chongqing International Logistics Hub Park last Saturday (15 June 2024). On 16 June 2024, German time) a second train started its journey in the opposite direction from Duisburg, Germany.
The simultaneous departures show that the China-Europe trains between Chongqing and Duisburg will run at fixed times and routes throughout the journey. SDI Logistics, which handles the service, said that this new offering will improve transport efficiency between the two destinations. (ben)
