Chinese logistics provider heads Southeast
Chinese logistics provider Best is building a 220,000 sqm facility in Malaysia and expanding its presence in Southeast Asia by connecting Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, and Malaysia to its network. The company’s largest sorting centre is to be located in Selangor, a state in Malaysia with a growing economy.
With these planned developments in the region, the company seeks to capitalise on cross-border trade and the economic future of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Best first entered the region via Thailand and subsequently expanded to the Philippines and Indonesia by investing in distribution hubs. As of September 2023, the company had 33 self-operated express sorting centres and 47,000 sqm of warehousing area. (mk)
