Chinese cargo carrier opens first international route
Tianjin Air Cargo, a subsidiary of HNA Group with a fleet of four B737 freighter aircraft, launched its first international all-cargo route exactly one week ago, on 8 January 2020, as it commenced a once-weekly B737-800F service from the central Chinese city Zhengzhou to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand.
The 23 t payload aircraft mainly exports cross-border e-commerce goods and imports fresh cold-chain products such as live Thai shrimp and fruit.
From Zhengzhou, the capital of the Henan province, a growing industrial region with an airport at one end of the New Silk Road that handled more than half a million t of goods in 2018, logistics providers will be focusing on delivering Chinese e-commerce goods to Thailand and Southeast Asia. (ah)
