China-Vietnam railway handles 13,000 teu

In the first ten months of 2024, China-Vietnam freight trains originating from Guangxi (China) dispatched 12,998 teu, a year-on-year increase of 1,274%. In October, volumes reached 2,618 teu, breaking the monthly transportation record for the fourth time this year.

Cross-border cargo transports on the China-Vietnam railway continue to thrive. CR-Nanning, an affiliate of China Railways (CR), regularly operates three fast-track trains from Nanningnan (South China) to Yen Vien (Vietnam) each week, with additional trains added as needed. The entire transport time is 14 hours.

With the China-Vietnam railway, the Nanning inland port has become a major hub for export rail cargo to Vietnam. (ben)
