Chermaine Chia to head ocean freight
Wefreight, a fast-growing freight forwarder headquartered in Dubai (UAE), has appointed Chermaine Chia as its new global head of ocean freight. Her focus will be on improving operational efficiencies, driving commercial activities, and expanding the company’s footprint in strategically important emerging markets.
Chia brings a wealth of experience to Wefreight, having worked as VP global procurement at DFreight and held senior positions at PSA, PSABDP, Panalpina, X-Press Feeders, and DHL Global Forwarding. With an extensive background in logistics and shipping, Chia has worked both in China and the Middle East. (cj)
