Chemical transporters awarded
Union Pacific Railroad (UP) in USA has honoured 70 companies with the 2021 pinnacle award for their dedication and commitment to safely transporting chemicals by rail.
The annual award honours customers who implement release prevention protocols, corrective action plans and have zero non-accident releases (NARs) of regulated hazardous materials shipments. It recognises the work these companies do to prevent releases and protect communities, the US class I railway said.
UP’s hazardous materials safety team supports customers with joint rail safety training programmes and rail car inspections. (ben)
