Cheers to a Kansas City cold chain
311,000 sqft for food and beverage logistics – this is Vertical Cold Storage’s newest cold chain expansion in Kansas City. The multimodal distribution site has been designed to support the company’s temperature-controlled logistics offerings, with over 100 team members on-site working for food and beverage clients.
The facility offers rooms with convertible climate conditions ranging from +35°F to –20°F. Its location in the southern part of Missouri’s largest city provides quick access to the CPKC intermodal terminal as well as BNSF Railway, Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern terminals.
Vertical Cold has been working on cold chain solutions since its founding in 2020, since which it has expanded its reach in North America, including the recent purchase of a site in Burleston TX. (mk)
