Change of the baton at Vienna airport
Michael Zach assumed his new position as head of all handling services at Vienna airport on 1 January 2024 with responsibility for cargo, baggage, and ramp handling as well as aircraft de-icing.
Zach joined the airport in 2006. He took over the sales, finance and cargo unit in the handling services division in 2018. Before that, he was managing director of the city airport train and most recently head of the business and general aviation unit and the VIP terminal.
In his new role, he replaces Franz Spitzer, who is moving into semi-retirement after a career of almost 30 years at the airport. (cj)
