Champ participates in Canada's security pilot
Air cargo IT services provider Champ Cargosystems and Icelandair have successfully participated in Transport Canada’s Pact pilot, which, like the US Customs and Border Protections’ air cargo advance screening programme, is a pre-load advance cargo information regulation pilot that involves air carriers submitting shipment information prior to loading so that data is assessed for security risks.
The airline uses Champ's Traxon Global Customs service for pre-arrival filing for customs advance cargo information schemes, supporting over 55 countries.
Nicholas Xenocostas, Champ VP commercial & customer engagement: "Compliance and security will continue to grow in importance in the supply chain. We are delighted that our long-time customer was an integral part of the pilot." (ah)
