DB Cargo is the first freight operating company to receive ISO certification for baseline IT security. The baseline IT security certification serves as verification that the railfreight company has implemented the necessary security measures and established an information security management system.
This declaration is valid for three years and monitoring audits will be conducted on an annual basis. Together, these components form an ongoing process that will result in continuous improvements to IT security to meet the ever-increasing number of threats.
This certification will benefit all of DB Cargo's customers which transport sensitive items, according to the German freight carrier. (ben)
