CEP at CDG
CEP companies are increasing their footprint at Paris CDG, where DHL has made its largest investment (EUR 170 million) in Europe in recent years and its biggest ever in France since its arrival in 1976.
Its new international hub covers 32,000 sqm - ten times larger than the previous site. The facility's sorting system (EUR 45 million) has a processing capacity of 38,000 pieces per hour - 15 times higher than the previous facility.
Meanwhile, Fedex Express is launching a new flight between Europe and Japan. The B777F service adds approximately 200 t capacity per week. It departs from CDG and flies four times per week directly to Osaka. It will then go on to Guangzhou, China.
Additionally, one day a week, a flight will leave CDG to Singapore, before travelling on to Guangzhou, adding another 50 t of capacity. (ah)
