CEO and executive director for Port of Gulfport
The Mississippi State Port Authority (MSPA) board of commissioners has announced, “after nearly an eight-month process”, the nomination of Jon Nass as its new CEO and executive director of the Port of Gulfport, effective 1 June 2021.
This hire follows a national search led by Tim McNamara, head of Odgers Berndtson’s transportation and infrastructure practice in Washington, DC. USA.
Nass joins from the Maine Port Authority, where he helped develop Northern New England’s only container terminal and fund for port and rail infrastructure, among other accomplishments.
In addition to his port experience, he was the deputy commissioner at the Maine department of transportation, worked as a senior policy advisor in the state of Maine governor’s office, and served in the US Congress. (amh)
