Qatar Airways Cargo has commenced freighter operations to Almaty, its second new destination in 2019. The carrier now offers more than 200 t of capacity each week to the largest metropolis in Kazakhstan. Arriving directly from Doha, the twice-weekly B777Fs return to their hub via Hong Kong.

 

The airline's chief officer cargo Guillaume Halleux: "We are excited to launch our second freighter destination in 2019, just ten days after the launch of freighter services to Guadalajara (Mexico)."

 

With this latest addition, the cargo carrier’s freighter network in Europe has increased to 16 destinations. Qatar Airways Cargo also transports freight in the belly-hold of passenger flights operating to more than 50 destinations on the continent, offering a combined weekly cargo capacity of more than 15,000 t each way.
