Çelebi expands in Frankfurt
Preparing for the increasing flow of pharma shipments, Çelebi Aviation has opened new cold storage facilities at Frankfurt airport. Christopher Licht, the ground handler's managing director, welcomed Fraport SVP Cargo Max Conrady for an opening ceremony, which took place in line with all corona restrictions.
Even during these unpredictable times, Çelebi confirmed that it will continue to invest into further growth. With the addition of three individual temperature regulated cool chambers, the Istanbul-based company increases its total capacity by more than 1,400 cbm.
All facilities are equipped with a rack system, allowing the storage of up to three levels high. Furthermore, the chambers provide temperature control sensors and an advanced alarm system that allows 24/7 real time tracking via a mobile app. (ah)
