CEIV Pharma for Taiwanese logistics providers
EVA Air and Evergreen Airline Services (Egas) both earned Iata CEIV Pharma certification. It verifies the highest standards in the companies' cold chain air and ground service operations at Taipei airport (TPE), which Egas introduced in 2018. It also distinguishes EVA as one of the few airlines in the world to have obtained certification for air and ground handling operations simultaneously.
EVA has carried everything from wafer products that require shock-resistant containment and constant temperature control to vaccine shipments that must be kept as cold as -80°C within a certain humidity range for as long as 144 hours. Complementing its B777F, the airline has expanded its airfreight capacity and network reach by using belly holds on passenger aircraft, including B777-300ER, B787 and A330-300. (ah)
