Ceiv Fresh certification for Dar es Salaam
Swissport Tanzania has been awarded the Iata Ceiv Fresh certification for its air cargo logistics at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam (DAR). It complements Swissport Kenya’s Ceiv Fresh certification in Nairobi and marks a significant milestone for the company’s air cargo handling operations.
Dar es Salaam is Swissport’s second branch on the continent to achieve Ceiv Fresh certification and positions the company as the only air cargo handler to meet this standard at this airport.
Swissport is a major player in the global airfreight supply chain, especially in the handling of temperature-sensitive cargo.
Currently, 21 of its warehouses, including four in Africa, are certified for pharmaceutical logistics by Iata's Ceiv Pharma, the UK's MHRA or other recognised industry associations. (cj)
