CD Cargo finds synergies
On Wednesday, 11 November 2020, CD Cargo Hungary carried out its first transport under its own licence for operating trains on the Hungarian network. With the train, the subsidiary of the Czech railway company carried wood from Czechia to Moascsa in Romania.
CD Cargo plans to offer regular services under the joint regime of its companies in Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary in future.
The CD group will also leverage synergies in terms of the deployment of locomotives. Two Vectron locomotives (numbers 193.289 and 295) of the Czech Railways will tow CD Cargo freight trains until December 2020.
These engines are already in operation in Austria and Czechia. The leasing of the locomotives is only possible because of the decrease in passenger traffic, the railway group said. (ben)
