Carmen Celedin elected harbour master
Carmen Celedin (photo) has been elected harbour master of the Ennshafen in Austria, succeeding Robert Wanger.
Celedin has headed the "technical infrastructure" department in the Austrian port since 2010. In her new role, she will be in charge of maritime transport, administration and security. She will work with maritime and inland port companies, and with port authorities and shipping offices.
The Ennshafen is Austria's youngest port and connects the main transport corridors of the international goods trade, the Rhine-Main-Danube waterway and the rail routes from the Baltic Sea to the Adriatic Sea.
With its ideal connections to inland shipping, railfreight and road haulage networks, the Ennshafen plays a pivotal role in international freight and raw materials transport. (amh)
