Cargo Support solves interface problem
Effective immediately, software provider Cargo Support offers users of the forwarding application cs connect high-performance interfaces with the IT systems of major terminal operators and logistics services providers. Users of cs connect, which include many transport companies specialising in container logistics, can now offer their customers continuous transparency and digitalisation of their orders all the way to the point of delivery.
Big customers such as DB Schenker or Eurogate have been asking their forwarders to offer them this option for a long time. So far, the implementation has often failed due to the cost of installing the necessary interfaces.
“Transport companies have no guarantee that they will continue to receive orders from their current customers in the future. They are therefore reluctant to invest in expensive interfaces.” Ralf Ostholt, co-owner of Cargo Support, explains. For this reason, his company has decided to programme the necessary interfaces at its own cost and make them available to customers for a small fee per transaction. (mw)
