
Cargo JV in Europe, Middle East, Southeast Asia
IAG Cargo, Maskargo and Qatar Airways Cargo have announced plans to form a global joint freight business.
Subject to regulatory approval, the partnership will enhance connectivity, offer new routes and streamline services for customers worldwide. The joint network will provide improved transit times and harmonised safety standards for all three carriers.
“This agreement brings together three strong players to offer unparalleled services and a global reach," said Mark Drusch, the chief cargo officer at Qatar Airways. David Shepherd, CEO of IAG Cargo, added that the venture will enhance airfreight’s contribution to global trade. Maskargo CEO Mark Jason Thomas called it a “pivotal moment” for all three partners.
The agreement marks a step forward in addressing growing demand for reliable, efficient and sustainable cargo solutions in the supply chains of three continents. (ah)
