Cameroun invests in cargo handling equipment
Aéroports du Cameroun (ADC), the operator of Cameroon's airports, is improving its equipment for air cargo handling. In the middle of August it took delivery of three loaders, two of which have a capacity of 14 t and the third of 7 t. They will be deployed at the airports of Douala and Yaoundé.
According to the West African country's business development agency, the project, which also involves staff training and the procurement of spare parts, cost the equivalent of USD 1.4 million.
Already back in the spring, ADC had invested USD 1.4 million in the purchase of 40 container handling machines, 26 20-ft pallet trucks, 30 container storage banks and baggage handling equipment. (ah)
