Building e-commerce solutions in the Middle East
FedEx has boosted its e-commerce shipping solutions in the Middle East by launching the ‘FedEx International Connect Plus’ service (FICP). The new offering allows ecommerce retailers to ship their packages of up to 20 kg in just three to four business days.
With the growth of ecommerce, which is projected to grow to USD 50 billion in the Middle East alone, FedEx can serve a new generation of consumer needs and invest in digital infrastructure. FICP also offers full tracking visibility for both retailers and customers for the entire shipping task.
It also allows the recipient to choose a location, date and time of delivery, according to their convenience. “FICP offers e-tailers reliable solutions that balance speed and cost, enabling them to scale up and seize new cross-border opportunities,” said Nitin Tatiwala, FedEx’s vice-president of marketing and air networks in the Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent and in Africa.
