Building a H2-corridor from California to Texas

The US government has approved a grant of USD 623 million to fund the deployment of charging points for electric vehicles in communities and along major travel corridors. At least 500,000 publicly available chargers are to be installed by 2030.

In the last four years, EV sales have more than quadrupled in the USA, and the number of publicly available charging ports has grown by nearly 70. Seven US states will benefit from the funding.

The North Central Texas council of governments for example will receive USD 70 million to build up to five hydrogen fueling stations for medium- and heavy-duty freight trucks in Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio, creating a hydrogen corridor from Southern California to Texas.
