Bruno Sidler joins SGL Transgroup
Scan Global Logistics (SGL) Transgroup, a services provider based in Scandinavia, has appointed Bruno Sidler, former CEO of Swiss transport company Panalpina, as industrial advisor to CEO Allan Melgraad and the board led by Tom Gartland, the executive chairman of the group.
Sidler will be acting within a newly created advisory council. He brings experience of the global freight forwarding business. From 1998 to 2006, Sidler occupied the position of Panalpina’s CEO and, on top of his occupation in Panalpina, he held the COO position at CEVA, from 2007 to 2012.
Sidler: "I am thrilled to be offered the opportunity to exchange my experiences with the ambitious and successful team at SGL TransGroup. The company seems to share the same entrepreneurial spirit that we fostered back in the days in Panalpina so I feel right at home in this environment." (amh)
