Bringing Thai Cargo back on track
Thai Airways International and Thailand Post Distribution (THPD) join forces on research and development in logistics and e-commerce, according to an MoU which has been signed by Suvadhana Sibunruang, the airline's EVP, aviation business units, and THPD managing director Peera Udomkitsakul. Witnesses were members of the senior management teams.
The aim is to utilise resources and networking of both companies for capability maximisation. The partnership covers international and domestic vaccine deliveries and a complete logistics management: retrieving, stocking, packaging, delivery, distribution.
It will also develop its e-commerce, digital platforms for product distribution and future partnerships. Since September last year, Thailand's flag carrier has entered rehabilitation, relying only on the belly capacity of a widebody fleet of 35 Boeing and Airbus aircraft. (ah)
