Bridgeheads in Asia soon operative
The Danish Leman Group, founded 120 years ago, has changed its China policy, banking on own offices instead of representatives.
Until now, the company has been running transportation solutions to and from Asia via an agent network. Five new locations will be operative from 19 April in Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen, Qingdao and Tianjin in China.
This is Leman's first attempt to run its own offices in Asia. Thomas Krøyer, Leman’s group CEO: “We have succeeded in hiring more than 60 skilled employees in China." Now, the company employs approx. 750 employees in Denmark, USA, UK, China, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Greenland. (sh)
