Bretzke to become FWN
The Bremen-based logistics company F.W. Neukirch (FWN) has taken over the entire operating business, staff and warehouse space of Bretzke Lagerhausgesellschaft in an asset deal with retroactive effect from 1 October 2022. The price was not disclosed.
Bretzke was founded in 1990 and, in addition to warehouse logistics, also handles transports by ship and truck. The 40 employees will be taken over and FWN's warehouse capacities will be expanded by 17,000 sqm. A further 8,000 sqm of external storage space is also included in the deal.
The business units of Bretzke Lagerhaus will be integrated into FWN and will be managed under a new name. Former owner and managing director Lutz Bretzke will accompany the integration process in an advisory capacity. FWN was founded in 1805, employs 110 people and achieved a turnover of EUR 18 million in 2021. (sh)
