Bpost doesn’t get an A
The Belgian Post, or Bpost, has reported its Q3/2021 results. While group operating income stayed more or less stable in comparison with the same period last year (–0.5% to EUR 977 million), ebit almost halved to EUR 39.1 million (–EUR 30.4 million). Revenues in the mail and retail segment surged by 1.2% to EUR 469 million, while mail volumes declined by 7.5%.
In the parcels and logistics in Europe and Asia unit, total operating income was EUR 238.2 million (9.5% below Q3/2020), caused by a downturn in Asian cross-border volumes. In the parcels and logistics in North America division, however, revenues including international mail clocked in at EUR 313.2 million (up by 14.9% compared to Q3/2020). (sh)
