Bpost: Belgian newspaper distribution
From 1 July, Bpost will continue to distribute all French-language newspapers throughout Wallonia. This agreement extends until the end of 2025.
An alternative distribution system will be tested in Q3/2025 at the request of the publishers. This will concern four distribution offices. In Flanders, there will be a gradual transition of newspaper volumes to Bpostgroup’s subsidiary AMP starting from September/October, keeping three-quarters of volumes currently delivered by the company within the Bpost Group. This will be initially done at ten pilot offices before the remaining volumes are transferred in 2025 and 2026.
Bpost will be able to safeguard its employees on fixed contracts until this period. From 2026, discussions will take place on the potential transfer of distribution operations to another party. (mk)
