Boosting customs capabilities in Ireland
Toga Freight Services announced the acquisition of Toga Customs Services at the beginning of April. The two Irish businesses had been operating separately until Toga Freight purchased 100% of the other company’s shares. This move will enhance Toga Freight’s customs capabilities.
The company has experienced rapid growth since the management buyout in the summer of 2023. It has joined System Alliance Europe, which will help it enter other European markets.
Toga Freight is also opening its first depot in the UK as well as planning to begin operations in China this year. “The two businesses have always worked side-by-side, but the growth of Toga Freight needs a fully integrated customs business in order to maximise the opportunities that exist for us,” says Muriel Corish, financial director of Toga Group.
