Bombardier: Brigitte Zypries joins supervisory board
As a new member of the supervisory board at Bombardier Transportation and Bombardier Transportation (railway technology) Holding Germany, Brigitte Zypries has taken part in her first joint meeting of the supervisory boards of the two companies.
From January 2017 until March 2018, Zypries was the German federal ministry for economic affairs and energy. From January 2014 until March 2018, she was the federal government’s coordinator for aerospace policy. Furthermore, from 2014 to 2017, she served as member of the supervisory board of the Deutsche Bahn (German railways).
Rüdiger Grube, chairman of the supervisory board, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Zypries to the supervisory boards of both companies. She can look back on an excellent career in politics and provide us with a profound insight into the German economy.”
Zypries comments: “I’m looking forward to helping Bombardier with the implementation of innovative mobility solutions for public local transport and to assisting the company in its transformation in Germany. In so doing, I will support all efforts to maintain as many jobs as possible.” (mw)
